Brentwood Boulevard Streetscape

Client: City of Clayton, MO
Owner: City of Clayton, MO
Year: 2013

M3 Engineering designed pedestrian and streetscape improvements in the City of Clayton, MO along Brentwood Boulevard (east side) from Carondelet Avenue to Forsyth Boulevard and Carondelet Avenue (north side) from Brentwood Boulevard to Meramec Avenue. The project began with collecting existing data on the corridor, including traffic brentwood 2.JPGinformation and utility locations. The proposed improvements included decorative pavers, street lighting, sidewalks and curb ramps, on-street parking, plantings and an irrigation system. The sidewalks and curb ramps were designed to meet current ADA standards (PROWAG). An existing right turn lane along Brentwood Boulevard was eliminated in order to provide additional parallel parking. The streetscape project is adjacent to the rehabilitation of the future Clayton police station building located along Brentwood Boulevard. Driveways, the pedestrian corridor, and parking are being coordinated with the building rehabilitation. The project was performed as part of MoDOT's LPA program and will be submitted for their review and approval.
