Owner: Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
Year: 2018

M3 Engineering is part of the team that is eliminating the Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSOs) and Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs) in the Bissell Watershed.

The project limits include parts of Bissell Point watershed (served by sanitary and combined sewers), Coldwater Creek, Missouri River, and Lower Meramec watersheds (served by sanitary sewers). The estimated construction cost is $277 million.

Engineering services required for this project include the design and preparation of plans, specifications, strip map (boundary surveys of parcels requiring MSD purchase), and easement documents for the construction of wet weather storage tanks or tunnels with pump stations and odor control, multiple sanitary relief sewer projects, and public and private I/I reduction projects.

M3 Engineering is providing HYDRA and XPSWMM modeling services on sanitary and combined sewers, field data collection for Private Inflow Reduction (PIR) and sewer design. The goal of PIR is to determine and eliminate sources of stormwater entering the sanitary system.
