M3 Engineering Group, PC is seeking highly motivated and experienced water resources engineers to join our St. Louis, Missouri; Chicago, IL; and Memphis, Tennessee offices. The selected candidates will work on a diverse array of complex water resource projects involving innovative urban stormwater management and natural surface water systems (rivers, streams, etc.) throughout the region and the U.S. The typical project portfolio includes sustainable green infrastructure planning studies; detailed design of stormwater infrastructure, innovative green infrastructure, flood mitigation practices, and urban stormwater infrastructure; complex hydrologic and hydraulic analysis including combines sewer analysis, design of open channels, roadway drainage systems and floodplain mapping; stream restoration; and surface water, watershed, and stormwater runoff monitoring and modeling (quantity and quality). M3 Engineering Group, PC is a diverse team of innovative engineers and our exciting projects reflect this diversity. 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Performing and overseeing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies;
• Developing innovative green infrastructure solutions for the urban environment;
• Applying innovative modeling software, from 1-D to 3-D transport models;
• Floodplain mapping and flood protection designs;
• In-stream and urban stormwater water quality modeling;
• Developing construction documents, including engineering drawings and technical specifications;
• Preparing erosion and sediment control designs;
• Mentoring junior staff; and
• Interacting with client representatives.

The selected candidate will have a project and task-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments. The selected candidate would also be expected to play a role in supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring. In addition, the selected candidate will be expected to help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences. 

REQUIREMENTS: Preferred candidates will have five to ten years of experience and hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in environmental or civil engineering with an emphasis in water resources or a closely related discipline. Experience with modeling and design software tools such as XP-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, INFOWorks, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS is desired. Professional registration as a P.E. (Professional Engineer) within state guidelines is required.
