Professional Experience
Ms. Kovalsky is a Project Engineer with experience in infrastructure planning and design for roadways, stormwater systems, and stream restoration projects. Her work includes project concept and feasibility analyses, data collection, preparation of preliminary and final design plans, and development of construction estimates.

She also has experience in dam safety engineering, conducting periodic inspections of existing dams to identify and assess deficiencies, reviewing engineering design reports and construction plans, and performing construction inspections to ensure compliance with approved specifications. Her work has included the use of HEC-RAS 2D for dam breach analyses and the preparation of inundation and evacuation maps for Emergency Action Plans.

In addition, Ms. Kovalsky is a Geospatial Analyst/Technician with experience in GIS application programming, mapping, and decision analysis. She is proficient in a range of engineering and geospatial software, including SMS SRH-2D, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CityWorks, AutoCAD, and Python.
